The Client Requests page is for viewing, processing and tracking outbound requests - requests from you library clients for resources that are not available in your library.
Client requests on these pages come from the following sources:
- requests made by clients through the client module of InterDocs
- requests entered on behalf of clients by the staff of your library
Functions available on this page allow you to:
- add the details of a new ILL request by completing a form
- select the library which is the subject of the request - useful if your library
- operates in multi-branch mode
- search for a request by Title, Request ID or Client Name
- view and process outstanding request items in a separate tab
- view and process a list of items on loan and awaiting return in a separate tab
- view and process a list of completed requests in a separate tab
When working on this page be sure to select your Home Library and check which item tab is active at all times.
Requests are processed with the following actions:
- forward to request to the next library in your ILL service network (requires Interloans)
- send the request to another ILL network
- modify the client request
- cancel the client request if no longer required by changing request's Status
- email a document to the client who made the request
