The Review and publish page shows you matching documents found by InterPublish and allows you to accept or reject them for publication to your content repository.
InterPublish currently supports the Koha libraray management system and the DSpace digital repository application and can be integrated with any such software. A repository application will need to be present and configured before you can use the Review and publish function.
The functions available on this page are:
- Update metadata - save any changes you make to the metadata fields describing the document
- Add as site - tell InterPublish that this page is not a document but is rather a new site that you want to monitor for documents
- Regenerate PDF - capture a PDF image of the web page. Do not click this button if InterPublish is already correctly displaying a PDF file which you want to keep
- Accept document- add this document to your repository
- Reject document - do not publish the document to the repository
- Review later - continue to hold this record in the InterPublish database pending further review
Procedures
To review and publish a document to the repository:
- View the document and click the Reject document button if you don't wish to keep it (if you reject a document you will be shown the next one in the queue).
- Check the quality of the PDF in the right-hand screen. If it did not render correctly, click the Regenerate button to create it again. Sometimes PDFs are optimised for printing and selecting the PDF without print CSS option may get a better result.
- If necessary, enter or amend the values used to populate the metadata fields. Note that the number and type of metadata fields on this form can vary according to the requirements of each implementation, but most will require Title, Author and Date. Click the Update metadata button to confirm any changes you make to the metadata.
- When you are satisfied with the PDF and attached metadata, click the Accept document button to publish the document to your repository.
- Please note that after you Accept or Reject a document a copy is retained in the InterPublish database. It will no longer be visible through the Review screen, but can be found through the Document history page.
